AICHO s American Indian Community Housing Organization Arts Program has been designated as a Regional Cultural Treasure by the McKnight Foundation, for its ongoing work to honor the resiliency of Indigenous people by strengthening communities and centering Indigenous values [and providing] a year-round space within Gimaajii-Mino-Bimaadizim for Indigenous artists to showcase and sell their work.
Avenue C in Cloquet has been named as one the cohort of the 2021 Artists on Main Street program, allowing artists to submit proposals for grant funds for the West End Flourish. ....

Springboard Launches Rural Regenerator Fellowships Deadline: Friday, June 11


Springboard for the Arts has launched the Rural Regenerator Fellowship, a cohort to support and connect creative rural leaders in the Upper Midwest. This year Springboard celebrates 10 years of rural work from their offices in Fergus Falls, MN, and in that time, they have learned so much about relationship-building, infrastructure support, and work it takes to strengthen rural communities through art, culture and creativity.
With this new Rural Regenerator Fellowship, 10 Fellows will be selected from communities of 50,000 people or fewer across the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois and the Native Nations that serve those geographies). Fellows will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment to rural arts-based community development, their interest in sharing their own experiences and learning around this work with other fellows, and their desire to grow, adapt, or launch new work that will strengthen their community.
