There have been a lot of odd side effects of pandemic life, but here s an incredibly sweet one: Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians have more than 100,000 leftover boxes of cookies and they re ready to sell them to you. All you have to do is head to a drive-through cookie sale Saturday to help the girls continue funding their community service projects, trips and activities this year. And yes, their famous Thin Mints will be available. The scouts couldn t do their typical door-to-door sales this year and while online sales and a partnership with Grubhub helped, it still wasn t enough. The scouts have enough leftover boxes to wrap around Interstate 640, the organization said. ....
