He kept up the practice as his job as an international flight attendant for Delta Airlines took him around the world, hopping in hotel swimming pools whenever his schedule allowed. When Yoder began the long process of recovering from COVID-19 last year, he went back into the water as soon as he was able. He now swims about six miles a week, every day but Sunday.
