The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on October 17 ordered that the accused who was 16 at the time of the crime be tried as an adult.
The teen was accused of murdering the class 2 student of the same school, picked at random, to defer an approaching examination and a parent-teacher meeting.
At the time of the detention, the accused was 16 years old and held for allegedly killing a 7-year-old boy in 2017.
The Justices Dinesh Maheshwari and J.K. Maheshwari granted interim bail to the 21-year-old accused on the grounds that he will be under probation and supervised.
