PLEASANTON – Black student concerns over firearms carried by school resource officers (SROs) in Pleasanton high schools remain unanswered, according to students.
Black Student Union members at Foothill High School told the Weekly recently that they felt like the Pleasanton school district had ghosted them after listening to student concerns about armed school resource officers.
The Pleasanton school board is placing a $395 million general obligation bond measure on the Nov. 8 general election ballot following a unanimous vote last week. The bond will help fund the first tier phase of the Facility Master Plan.
The Pleasanton school board unanimously approved salary increases, additional salary steps and health insurance options to management and classified staff during its last meeting of the fiscal year.
