Ellie Noto added four goals for SHP against the Vikings. Ava Shenk scored three times and had three assists and Emily Leschin had three goals and two assists.
Phoebe Kim scored twice and had an assist for Palo Alto (8-5), which will likely receive a bid into the CCS playoffs despite a recent losing streak. Laney Henry also scored twice and Kellyn Scheel recorded seven saves.

Avery Lee scored a career-best 39 points and Menlo topped host The King’s Academy 81-70 in a WBAL contest Thursday.
Sharon Nejad added 18 points for Menlo (3-3, 2-3), which plays at Pinewood on Friday night.

Freshman Lauryn Selvaraj has been helping Gunn with her pitching. She’s decided to add her offense to the equation in her past couple of appearances.
Selvaraj threw a four-hitter over five innings in Gunn’s 16-1 victory over host Saratoga in a SCVAL El Camino Division game Monday. She also added a pair of hits and drove in two runs as the Titans (9-0, 7-0) remain undefeated on the season.
Cupertino (11-1, 6-1) beat host Palo Alto (2-5, 2-5), 19-2, Monday to stay within a game of the Titans. Gunn hosts Palo Alto on Wednesday afternoon.

For Menlo-Atherton senior Emma Spindt, it’s more about getting a chance to play with her friends one last time before going off to college than it is about reaching another state title match.
A four-week, eight-match girls volleyball season is not the best solution, but given the alternative, Spindt said you do the best you can under the circumstances.
Spindt, who is headed to Division I UC Irvine in the fall, recorded nine service aces and six kills to help the Bears beat visiting Woodside in three sets Thursday night in a Peninsula Athletic League contest.
