STARS reduces hours in Saginaw County during COVID-19 spike Updated 3:43 PM; Facebook Share SAGINAW, MI - Saginaw Transit Authority & Regional Services, or STARS, is reducing its hours for bus routes and ride services while Michigan’s COVID-19 spike continues to be the worst in the nation. Effective Tuesday, April 13th, weekday bus routes and LIFT services for seniors and disabled riders will end at 7 p.m. until further notice. On Saturdays, LIFT service will end at 4 p.m., according to a news release. The Pigeon Express service will keep its normal schedule. STARS is seeing a decrease in staffing because of COVID-19 quarantines and spread, according to the release. STARS services are still free during the pandemic and are available to help take Saginaw residents to major vaccine distribution sites.
