The Salina Salvation Army was surprised to find another gold coin placed in one of its bell ringers  kettles on Monday.
This was the second gold coin donated to the Salvation Army in less than a week. The coin is valued at about $1,860 and will go toward the Salina Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. 
The coin is a 1-ounce gold South African Gold Krugerrand that features the 19th-century effigy of Paul Kruger, the first president of the South African Republic. The national emblem of modern South Africa, the Springbok antelope, is depicted on the reverse side of the coin.  ....
