BOSTON — If there was any concern about how the Celtics finished the regular season, losing four of their final 11 games, which, believe it or not, matched their worst stretch of the year, they dispelled that notion in the first two minutes of their first-round series opener against the undermanned Miami Heat.
The Boston Celtics did just enough to outplay the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series on Sunday afternoon.

Jayson Tatum notched his first career playoff triple-double (20 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds) to lead the way for Boston, which had six players reach double figures. Derrick White scored a team-high 20 points, with Porzingis scoring 18 in his postseason Celtics debut and Jaylen Brown adding 17 points and eight boards.
