Florida Fresh Air: Seminole Wekiva Trail supplies 17 miles of paved recreation Orlando Sentinel 1 hr ago Patrick Connolly, Orlando Sentinel © Patrick Connolly/Orlando Sentinel The Markham Woods trailhead has restrooms and water on the Seminole Wekiva Trail. Set along 17 miles of pavement running mostly north to south, the Seminole Wekiva Trail takes runners, walkers, skateboarders, roller skaters and cyclists through a scenic stretch of Seminole County. Though parts of the path are urban and contain road crossings, the trail provides an opportunity for recreationists to avoid traffic, instead opting for a route that prohibits motorized vehicles. Whether exploring on legs or wheels, Seminole Wekiva provides a great opportunity for exercise with no shortage of scenery.
