Viewing of the wild horses will take place from 1 – 5 p.m. Friday. It will be first come, first served after that until 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
BLM’s gathering of wild horses in the Owyhee Mountains finished up Monday morning. Now those horses are adjusting to life at the Boise Wild Horse Off-Range Corrals.
The agency was able to collect 24 of the 220 needed for this gathering project during the first of many gathering days this month.
On September 6, the BLM will round up 220 wild horses in the Sands Basin, Hardtrigger and Black Mountain wild herd management areas using a helicopter then they transport the horses to the corral.
