This paper aims to explore the surfers’ perceptions and requirements for safe-surfing mobile applications. For the purpose of the study, interviews with 13 surfers were conducted. Results identified 3 themes (App Content, App Design and App Features) with 8 subthemes and 25 initial codes. In-time information regarding the weather conditions, and surfers education for beginners are the main information required by the surfers.
