Both of the agencies are seeking increases for fiscal year 2018. The fcc is requesting about 15 merse higher than fy 2017. The fcc budget has grown from 370 million to now 1. 6 billion. The over sight on the commissions budget is critical. Although those fees come from public committees and exchanges, theyre borne by investors.
