Secretary Roger Mercado said repair works were done within 15 days, with 47 national road sections cleared and reopened. "The reopening of roads allowed the national government, local government units, and NGOs (non-governmental organizations) to immediately extend relief efforts especially in hardly affected areas," he said in a statement. 44 roads reopened in 'Odette' aftermath: DPWH

(Photo courtesy of DPWH) MANILA - A total of 44 roads in provinces hit by Typhoon Odette have been reopened, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Friday. These roads were already cleared and are now accessible to motorists as of Friday noon, the agency said in an update. However, seven roads are still impassable to all types of vehicles due to damaged bridge, fallen trees and electric posts, debris, and washout revetment. These roads are the Irawan- Tagburos Road, at Tagburos Bridge I, Puerto Princesa City due to damaged/collapsed bridge section and damaged bridge approach, fallen trees and utility post. Also, Dalaguete-Mantalongon-Badian Road in Brgy. Ablayan and sections in Brgy.
