Jim passed away on May 2, 2023. His life was full of love, adventure, family, and friends. Jim was born on April 11, 1948, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He grew up on Ottertail Lake with his mother, father, and three brothers. Jim was 12 years old when he went on a float plane ride at the Lake, and his lifelong love of flying began. Jim graduated from Perman High School, Perman, Minnesota in 1966. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Minnesota.
