TORONTO -- Saul Korman, the Toronto entrepreneur known as 'The Duke of the Danforth,' has died. His menswear store, Korry’s, has been a fixture in Toronto’s iconic Greektown since 1952. Korman’s son Shawn confirmed his father’s death with CTV News Toronto Monday. He said his father suffered a heart attack Sunday and passed away in his sleep. He was 86 years old. A graveside funeral will take place Tuesday. The clothier had not been feeling well and had been home since March, according to his son, who said that his father missed the store and talked it about it everyday.

Toronto clothing legend Saul Korman of Korry's Clothiers dead at 86 Toronto's iconic suit salesman, Saul Korman, has died at 86 years old.  He went by many names—The Duke of the Danforth, the Gentleman of Greektown—but was best known simply as the owner of Korry's Clothiers to Gentlemen.  Saul Korman has been known as the Danforth's best suit salesman since the 1950s.  The suit store, which Korman took over from his father and moved to Coxwell and Danforth in 1958, has been dressing men in Hugo Boss and Canali for decades.
