A Pennsylvania agency is warning people about a scam targeting people who are filing for financial aid for college.
The agency said Friday that residents should be on the lookout for a white, four-door Ford F-150 pickup truck with a red 4x4 emblem.
The U.S. Marshals and FBI say they are hearing about this scam on a daily basis and there have been a large number of these calls in Massachusetts.
Deputies said someone has been calling Davidson County residents and identifying themselves using a sheriff's name with a spoofed number that makes it seem like the call is coming from the sheriff's office.
