CaroMont doctor files wrongful termination lawsuit against Atrium
A CaroMont Health doctor has filed a lawsuit against his former employer, Atrium Health, and its employees alleging he was wrongfully terminated. Dr. Barry Scanlan had worked at Riverwood Medical Associates along Union Road for more than two decades when Atrium Health abruptly terminated him in 2019. Atrium Health, then Carolinas HealthCare System, had acquired the Gastonia practice in 2008.
