When it is so disparate in terms of subject matter it is just a question of scheduling. i don t think there needs to be a lot of deference. i think it is going to be mostly sort of first in time, in which case, is ready. i think the most interesting is going to be the january 6th cases. if you have a fani willis case that is really a subset of what jack smith would bring because he would have the georgia component in his case. it will be interesting to see who differs defers to who. that is we are, as you alluded to, rachel maddow, the feds always want to go first. and i think they are going to what the first crack. and the reason for that is, if you are a prosecutor, state or federal, you are the one who wants to put those witnesses on first. the defendant has been advantage after they have heard all of the government s case. and the person who goes second tends to have a harder time than the person that goes first. and jack smith will have a broader array of evidence ....

Colleague alex wagner how documents in the case, how the criminal indictment of donald trump in florida might affect her trial which again is scheduled for later this year. watch what she said. the special counsel has asked for a speedy trial for this. is this going to intersect with your case at all? how is everybody going to manage the calender here? so in all likelihood i believe my case as well as d.a. bragg and the georgia case will, unfortunately, have to be adjourned pending the outcome of the federal case. so it all depends upon the scheduling of this particular case. attorney general of new york, essentially, predicting that all of the state cases against former president trump will, quote, have to be adjourned pending the outcome of the federal classified documents case, which is now going to ....

Simply because he is looking at a broader scope than georgia, even understanding that the georgia charges will include some of what happened outside of georgia. there is no question that what jack smith will be putting together will include a far greater extent of the scheme that was laid out by the january 6th committee. and andrew weissmann, would it be proper, and wouldn t be it be expected, that the federal prosecutors working under jacks jack smith and the january 6th matter, that they would speak with the state prosecutor looking at january 6th looking into with the federal and state prosecutors talk to each other? would that be okay for them to do that? so, certainly, it s proper. there is nothing that prohibits it. and certainly, with respect to scheduling, you want to do that. so, let s just say that you want to interview a victim. you might decide to interview the victim together, the federal and state prosecutors, simply so that the victim does not have to go through t ....

Unfortunately have to be unfortunately, have to be adjourned pending the outcome of the federal case. so it all depends on the scheduling of this particular case. i know that it s going to be a flood a law flurry of motions to dismiss, discovery issues, all of that. katie, andrew weissmann listened to her entire comments, and thought that maybe her case was not as strong as we originally thought. what do you think? i do not really know about that it is about whether or not her case is really strong. i think of a pullback of little bit is that we see one person donald trump and he is facing legal action on multiple fronts. and, of course, there are complications that come with that when they are different people in different jurisdictions bringing different cases. but i do think that the bigger takeaway is simply the fact that he already faces legal actions, and he could face more. keep in mind there is also a georgia investigation, which could lead to charges against him or his a ....

Prosecutors working on the january 6th matter that they would speak to the state prosecutors looking at january 6th and election interference matters in georgia. would the federal and state prosecutors talk to each other? would it be okay for them to do that? it s certainly it s proper. there s nothing that prohibits it, and certainly with respect to scheduling, you want to do that. you might decide to interview the victim together with the federal and state prosecutor simply so the victim doesn t have to go through that process twice if you re doing this in the most benign fashion. some of that s going to depend on the judge, what prospect there is of one case going sooner than the other if you have a judge really delaying things at the state level, it ll be clear the feds should go first and the state prosecutors should defer to that and not be ....
