Fears over crumbling concrete forced the Government to order more than 100 schools to shut or close off parts of their buildings last week - only days before the start of term

The Alton Safe Routes to School Phase 2 project will be going out for bid this spring. The cost is expected to run about $421,000, of which a grant will cover $335,000.
