City budget officials are preparing a menu of options, including a 5% cut in non-personnel general fund spending, another 5% in cuts and "potential revenue opportunities."
According to a report prepared by Peoria-based PGAV Planners and issued in January, 77% of the more than 2,000 buildings within the TIF have deteriorated and another 9% are dilapidated.
"Did I finish everything that needed to be done? Absolutely not," Wrighton said. "But I think that we've provided a good foundation for the new manager going forward."
