First keynote presentation and educational panel for 2024 OPS announced

Over the last few months, Homegrown Organic Farms has been busy outlining the details to bring HBF International into its growing berry category. Combining decades of berry sales and marketing expertise, Homegrown is building a complete berry program by expanding into conventional blueberries and adding blackberries, currants, cranberries and the kiwi berry.

Homegrown Organic Farms has expanded its Equitable Food Initiative certified acreage and organic commodities, earning the certification in the citrus category. The new acreage joins the company’s fully EFI-certified stone fruit and blueberry programs, the first of which earned certification in 2020.

As the industry celebrates National Farmworker Awareness Week, Homegrown Organic Farms announced its Northwest organic blueberry farms in Oregon have earned Equitable Food Initiative certification. The farms join Homegrown Organic Farms’ stone fruit program, which became EFI certified in 2020, further demonstrating the company’s dedication to its employees and associates. As a newly formed ESOP, Homegrown has partnered with its sister company to achieve and roll out this new certification.
