This stretch included a little bit of everything – from quiet woods and historic neighborhoods to old reservoirs, a new boardwalk and a World War I encampment. We started in Lockwood Forest and traveled north along the Nancy Merrill Trail to Fish Brook, a part of the Ipswich River that empties into the Atlantic Ocean near our ultimate destination – Plum Island....

Pembroke Town Meeting, elections postponed Wicked Local At their meeting of Wednesday, April 14, the Pembroke Select Board postponed annual town meeting to Tuesday, June 22, at 7 p.m., indoors at the Pembroke High School located at 80 Learning Lane. EDITOR’S NOTES: Oh, what a year! Wicked Local Friday the 13th of March, 2020, was the last day, for most of us, that we worked in the newsroom. The company directed us to work remotely for a couple of weeks so we could all get a better grasp on this coronavirus pandemic and do our immediate part to help prevent the virus’s spread.
