Surviving Summer, a new live-action surfing series for teens in production down under. The 10-episode series tells the story of a teenager from New York who catches the competitive surfing bug when she’s sent to live with family friends in Australia. Netflix is producing the show with Werner Film Productions ( Dance Academy) and Germany’s ZDF Enterprises. Joanna Werner will executive produce, and co-pro partner ZDF is handling worldwide distribution, except in territories where Netflix holds the rights.
