thank you for being with us today. let s start with the story that seems to have come to some kind of an end. this is casey anthony leaving jail 12 days after being found not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter. she walked out the front door, which was a surprise to many. anthony was found guilty of lying to police, and that got her a four year-sentence, and you factor in time served and good behavior, and she s out. this comes three years and a day after she was first arrested on the disappearance of her daughter. david mattingly joins us. this was a surprise to many that she walked out the front door. reporter: that s right. there are a number of scenarios in mind, and they had several contingency plans at the jail depending what was going on at the time. as she walked out there were hundreds, very focal, and many holding signs, and it was an emotional time, and they allowed her to walk outside to a waiting suv, and from there they went straight out on to the ....

I m a little bit uncomfortable with the confiscation of phones. there s a case out of new jersey where you can look into a kid s backpack if you have a reasonable cause, reasonable suspicion. i don t know that if you snatch somebody s phone that their parents have given them and start scrolling through their phones whether or not that s really too much of an invasion. okay. let s talk about another penalty, another call for penalties to be reduced. i believe this is a utah state lawmaker saying the laws are too tough when it comes to teenagers for dui laws. what s going on here? yeah, the laws are pretty tough there. basically what they re saying is we want to reduce it because once a kid gets pulled over, even for a drop of alcohol, their license can be taken for up to five years. this is the problem i have with that. you re not supposed to drink if you re under 21, so it s against the law to drink anyway. drinking and driving kills people. and so if you are stupid enough as a tee ....
