Members of the public in Counties Waterford, and Cork and Wexford are encouraged to have their say on the proposed Celtic Sea Array offshore wind park as part of the public consultation process that will run over a four-week period. The proposed Celtic Sea Array wind park is located in the Celtic Sea off the Waterford coast and Suir Estuary.
SSE Renewables welcomes the Irish Government’s decision to increase the country’s 2030 offshore wind target from 5GW to 7GW. The move was announced as part of a new package of measures to the end of the decade to meet Ireland’s Sectoral Emissions Ceilings that set maximum limits on greenhouse gas emissions for the electricity, transport, buildings, industry and agriculture sectors.
