The rulings are pushing the car and now the country so far in a different direction, so hard to the right. think about in the last year, a year ago they overrule roe versus wade, they issued the most sweeping second amendment ruling ever in the country s history that began to curve the power of regulatory agencies the deal with things like climate change. now, one year later, we have these cases coming the day after the overturned affirmative action. that does not sound like a court. i don t think a political caucus. it sounds like a bunch of op-ed writers spouting off. i think the country sees that. kenji, you made this point just a moment before about the, sort of, different kind of tactical approaches here. one thing i cannot get over is, there s a sort of alleyoop feeling to a lot of these. there s a bunch of, these sort of, like, conservative groups that throw the ball in the air and the justices come in and delicate, and like, they re all part of the same conservative legal. it ....

Had the most expansive second amendment ruling, the most sweeping one ever and began the process of curbing the power of regulatory and government agencies to act. in that case it was climate change, in this case it was this egregious in my view decision. but they re taking more and more cases that will really hobble the ability of government to protect the environment and workers and other things. and it is going to lead to tremendous controversy, political controversy, public controversy going forward. let me go back to jessica snider who covers the supreme court for us. the chief justice john roberts seemed to acknowledge, jessica, as you know the increasing criticism the supreme court has faced recently in the last opinion today. there s going to be a lot more criticism down the road. what stood out to you about that? well, it was quite an extraordinary statement from the chief justice. we are really especially in the last two days seen a 6-3 split ....
