Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said on Sunday that he was working on a bill with legislators in his state that would prevent big tech companies from taking moderation actions against users based on their viewpoint.

Twenty five years ago today, then President Bill Clinton signed the 1996 Telecommunications Act into law. There was a lot in it, including the Communications Decency Act.
