Suicide death of 60-year-old prisoner at Behavioral Assessment Unit in Norfolk prison is adding to concerns about highly structured units in Massachusetts prisons.
The allegations of excessive use of force date back to June, when inmates were transferred to Souza from a solitary confinement unit at another state prison that was shut down in response to a lawsuit filed last year.
