South Euclid begins second phase of gift card program to help those impacted by pandemic

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio The city is rolling out a second phase of a program it first conducted last May in which it is giving to residents in need gift cards to help them through the pandemic.
Last spring and summer, with the help of community development corporation One South Euclid, the city distributed to eligible residents a total of $4,000 in Giant Eagle gift cards. This year, Community Services Director Keith Benjamin said, $5,000 worth of gift cards will be given using a portion of what the city received in federal CARES Act money. The cards will come in $50 and $100 increments and can be used at participating grocery stores. ....
