Approaching 22 past. two miners were killed at yosemite park when a tree limb fell on the tent where they were sleeping. park officials have not released the victims names nor ages. investigators don t know why the limb broke but did say weather was not a factor. investigators remind campers to check out surroundings even in designated sites. a river in colorado is partly reopened after 3 million gallons of contaminated water spilled. kayakers and rafters can go back. it closed earlier this month after an epa crew caused the leak. the water was contaminated with arsenic and lead and other metals. the river is restoring itself. there is more work to do. we are in no way saying we re leaving all things are done, the sediment will be looked at and frankly it s where the longer ....

And one of the reasons that this river is still closed, it s a little bit difficult to see but there is sediment on all of the rocks in the river, on the riverbed, and they re concerned that anybody using this for recreation is going to kick up that sediment and reverse the progress they made. this is not over yet, francis. certainly not. thank you for the update there. up next, i ll talk to one of the three women who came forward in the last 24 hours to publicly accuse bill cosby of sexual assault. and today new york city has three more that tested positive for the legionnaire s disease. all of them are in the south bronx. a total of 20 sites from tested positive. 12 people have died so far. new york city health officials believe no new diagnoses have been made since august 3rd. we ll be right back. ....

The contamination burst out and the river was still coming out of there and it was still very much yellow. and so today we re going to go check again. but i believe what we will see once again is yellow water running in to our water system. and so it originates there, but our river down here, we collect whatever is washed down from up there. so i just want to say that that we are devastated and the unknowns are still there because they re testing the water, but where the sediment is down in the soil along the banks, see, everything washes out to the bank area. they re not really testing that yet. they re testing the water but that s we live off the entire river. so when our cattle go down to drink, when they step into the river to drink, the sediment will be loosened and the ....

Far as the potential health effects now even with word that some of that yellow sludge may be clearing as far as concerns about drinking water, bathing water? absolutely. so there s two different ways to think about this event. one is the initial surge of toxins and following up on that is what s left behind. until we know what s in the sediment and how much of that sediment is in the river bed, we simply don t have enough information to answer those questions. we re hoping for the best outcome but we need to make these decisions based off of something science and good sampling data. good science and good sampling, many people questioning how this happened to begin with. the epa accidentally shook loose a debris dam releasing all this water with the arsenic and lead and toxins, is that something that you re questioning, how did this happen in the first place? again, i want to blow it out a little bit more and look at the bigger picture perspective. the epa was trying to clean up ....

You re going to lose one or two, but out of 108 fish, 107 are still alive and they were put in the water before the surge went through. we checked the bottom dwellers and little insects that the fish eat. they re all healthy, no die-off. doesn t seem to be large amounts of sediment that are going to contaminate anything. so i think we re optimistic that obviously rafting companies have lost days of work in the busiest season, fishing guides. we had to shut off irrigation to our agriculture. but it s rained almost every other day, so they haven t been, i think, too negatively impacted. we might come out of this pretty well. well, at the same time, we talked to the nrdc yesterday and the defense counsel said that the silt does not go away, that the heavy metals will stay there, and stay there arguably for decades. that s what they also told the navajo nation. so how do you square those two sets of facts? well, we re going to go out ....
