Segregated schools. just after world war ii, it got the reputation of being a model america. that is how it was marketed. that is why people moved their. it was really diverse socially, economically, culturally, racially. i think that that is unique in a lot of places. so this is sort of uncovering things that had not been dealt with for the residents. what does happen in the aftermath of the shooting? the city kind of comes to a reckoning. people thought that things were fine, they thought everything was going well, everyone was getting along. and we discover that people weren t feeling like everything was going along, people were not having those conversations. there were tensions, there had been tensions between the police and young black men in the community that people were not talking about. so, this really, kind of opened the town s eyes to the amount of rage, frustration, the shock ....
