In the first week of the 2024 West Virginia legislative session, bills moving on from the Senate to the House include: Senate Bill 143: Relating to the arming of guards in schools; Senate Bill 146: Funding of adult learning centers; Senate Bill 148: Autorenewal for the state s wildlife licensing; Senate Bill 162: Addressing food insecurity in summer and non-school periods during the year.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer visited Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids on Monday to sign a package of bills aimed at making it easier for distilleries to distribute and sell mixed spirit drinks.
