I think that s unlikely. will we see it within our lifetime? absolutely. sentient and intelligence are different concepts. can we develop ai that s more intelligence than human beings. i think that will raise a core dilemma. ai maybe more intelligent than human beings, but without having a soul, the ability to assume moral commitment to other human beings. this is the state of affairs where human beings may have those commitments while also being less intelligence than ai. so there is a lot more to say here. but those are some of the issues here. it begs the obvious question. ....
