No injuries reported in train derailment in East Galesburg last night

Knox County Sheriff's Deputies last night (August 2nd) at approximately 9:00 pm responded to a train derailment in East Galesburg. According to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff's Department, the train, belonging to BNSF was eastbound and left the tracks east of the crossing at State Street in East Galesburg. No injuries were reported from the incident. The cause of the derailment is under investigation by BNSF.
