Plan for tree in head's memory
Tree for Colin Settrington Parish Council, under the Chairmanship of Philip Marwood, are proposing to plant a memorial tree to a long-standing resident who passed away last year. In autumn Colin Wigglesworth passed away in Harrogate Hospital. Colin was born in Doncaster and, after leaving school trained to be a teacher in Sheffield. He joined the army, carrying out some of his National Service in Egypt. On his return he entered the teaching profession in Doncaster. In 1960 he became Head Teacher at Settrington Primary School.
