7 Lynn police officers on administrative leave amid internal investigation
April 23, 2021 | 1:02 PM Seven Lynn police officers are being investigated for allegations of off-duty drug use and making racist statements, the Lynn Item reports. According to the newspaper, the investigation was initiated after one of the officers was arrested in Salem on a domestic violence warrant in response to texts he sent to the alleged victim. While those charges were dropped, a review of the officer’s text messages and emails for the investigation revealed a group chat with six other officers in which they talked about use of cocaine and steroids.
