Of tnt. and you go to an 8 magnitude earthquake and then we re doing just many multiples of that. all right. here is our seismic activity that has taken place other the last several days. here is ridgecrest. and you go in this direction you head towards china lake. that s where the naval weapons station is located. so you can better believe they are very focused on what if any damage may have taken place there. estimated fatalities, we don t have any reports of any fatalities. the computers are saying a 65% chance that you might have one fatal. injuries? yes. we ve heard about injuries. the extent of which we don t know. okay. here is the shake map. here is ridgecrest. about the 30,000 people felt very strong shaking, as you can imagine. you radiate from that, the energy. this is in the turquoise shaded ....
Shake map. it s how violent it was that s where you can get significant damage. notice how small that was and the ridgecrest area was included in that. the area from los angeles here, these people felt it even the moderate didn t encompass any other cities. always look at the depth of the earthquake. this was at 6.6 miles deep. the nor energy released toward the surface the more damage that could happen. we call it anything from three mile toward the surface. this was in the moderate range. some of the energy did make it all the way to the surface. you could see it was actually cracked and that was about the worst of it. and as far as the after shocks go, we had 16 after shocks go greater than 4.0. ....

Highways and roads and people stuck in towns, this is incredibly devastating. it is not the independence day ridgecrest was hoping for and all the families, firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, just the inspection process alone for all the homes and businesses could take a week or more. 30,000 residents in ridgecrest. now, we re working to confirm a couple of minor details. we received an e-mail from the usgs instead of a 5 mile depth they make cut it. to cut it to 2 1/2 miles that would create more energy outward in the region. the other factor we re working on they may move the epicenter 6 miles. we went through the shake map again. again, right around 30,000 people, i mean you ve got 42,000 felt very strong shaking. that is the category there are higher categories but that s ....
