Participants walked just 26.2 steps in a mini marathon at The Highlander on North 30th Street to raise awareness of hereditary cancers.
Throughout the building, the familiar UNMC/Nebraska Medicine logo can be seen, but the new addition to North Omaha's Highlander neighborhood is not actually a clinic. "Having a space here for those programs that offer services on campus to be here to do education, have awareness and be able to teach about emotional health and preventative health and help connect them to a primary care doctor if necessary," Ross said.
