According to information sent to responding officers by dispatchers, a woman called 9-1-1 and said her son had shot his father in the family's home. The woman also reported that she had her son secure the firearm before police arrived at the home, authorities said. Police ordered the mother and son out of the home, where officers reported a man down on the floor who was later pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. The investigation into the fatal shooting is ongoing and all involved have been accounted for, Jarrell said. “There is no threat to the community,” Jarrell said.
