The NWS Fort Worth office issued a flood warning for McLennan, Bell and surrounding counties until early Friday, citing chances of 2 to 3 inches of rain in some areas.
While Waco didn't hit the 90-degree mark Monday, several areas nearby did, with a dryline dividing hotter air from cooler air. Killeen hit 97, while Temple topped out at 83.
A cold front will bring Waco exceptionally cold temperatures this weekend with wind chills as low as zero and possible sleet and freezing rain Sunday night into Monday morning.
