Leaving his shoe impression? the theory of any crime scene investigation is that the suspect is always going to leave something of them self at the scene or take something away that s going to link them to the crime. the shards were collected and sent to the forensics lab. glass is such a smooth, perfect surface that it s really the best surface we can possibly hope for to get a footwear impression on. the linoleum floor was dusted with a powder called aurora pink that sticks to any moisture present. then, using what is called an alternate light source, any powder that clings to the moisture will fluoresce. if you have a patterned linoleum where the background is interfering with the impression, you can usually use your alternative light source to eliminate the background, and then the fluorescent powder that you use to dust up the impression is very bright and so it makes a very good contrast. ....

This is the only belt that i ve ever obtained a fingerprint off of. investigators found their next clue in the shards of broken glass. there was a beautiful footwear impression. it was maybe half of a shoe or the whole ball area of the shoe was present. this may have happened when the killer stepped into the house after breaking the glass. so it gave me a lot to work with, with regards to looking for accidental characteristics or markings. using various databases, analysts quickly discovered the print was from the left shoe of white pure ten brand tennis shoes. also at the crime scene, investigators found a set of keys in the grass, next to one of the ponds on the 10-acre property. the keys opened the doors to rogers home. divers searched the ponds and a week later found a 3-foot length ....

And as soon as i saw that first section start to move, i just turned around and i ran as fast as i could out thereof. the end of the shelving started pulling away from wall, from the front of the store to the back of the store. in just under ten seconds, 68 feet of shelving holding almost 7,000 bottles of wine crumples to the ground unleashing a tsunami of the finest merlot. smashed bottles everywhere, glass shards laying everywhere on the ground, wine just flowing. directly after, you could hear champagne bottles actually popping because they were so shook up and banged up that the tops were just coming right off. it was just so unbelievable. anywhere from one to two inches of wine that was flowing out the front door into the back rooms, out the back door. it s something you cannot fathom. peter s father richard gusky is the owner of the store. he hears the crash from his office. i stood up and looked and i ....

at one point it was swinging out towards the street. and it actually went up vertical like this. i think that was the scariest point for me because i was thinking for sure somebody would fall out. it really had kind of an apocalyptic feel to it. photojournalist kirby howell works only a few blocks away and gets to the scene quickly, capturing it all on camera. the scaffold swung out maybe halfway between these two buildings here. and my biggest fear was that the cables supporting it were going to snap and it would come crashing down to the street. the window washers are wearing safety harnesses, so presumably, if the scaffold falls, the men would be left hanging from the top of the building. that s probably little comfort to them as the scaffold flies through the air thrashing violently. it s already plummeted about 15 feet and shards of glass from the building s windows are raining down on the street. to get a visual of this. you arrive on scene, you see a ....

i saw a yellow flash, and then everything went pitch black. the force of the blast bent me over my desk. the whole back of the building just fell in on us. everyone along our set of offices has back injuries, head injuries, neck, bleeding, glass. i felt pain on my left side of my face, and popping noises, and it was the glass shards. they just kept falling. it was a horrible noise, horrible noise. i remember saying, god, i don t want to die today, and i don t want to die in this ....
