The three girls and one boy were spotted by workers at a recycling centre in Witney, Oxon, on June 12. Staff gently lifted them out and took them to Cornyard Veterinary Practice.
The kittens were spotted by workers at a B&E Transport and Recycling Centre in Witney and were taken in by the RSPCA Oxfordshire branch
The foursome, who have been named Olly, Felicity, Pepper and Serendipity, are looking for new homes.
"I can't even bear to think about the possibility of them being accidentally crushed," said one animal welfare official.
