San Diego residents commemorate MLK's birthday with annual wreath laying
SAN DIEGO — More than a dozen residents gathered Friday to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an annual wreath-laying ceremony. The celebration was held in Broadway Heights, a small residential neighborhood in southeastern San Diego, along Martin Luther King Jr. Way promenade, which is lined with photos of civil rights leaders and passages from King’s speeches.
