The $9.9 million grant is intended to help improve the economic self-sufficiency of Arkansas' 14- to 18-year-old students with disabilities in bridging the gap from high school to career and independent living.
The first 10 doctoral students are finishing the program, which aims to help young people with disabilities in the transition from high school. Recruitment for the next cohort of scholars will begin soon.
