Lawrence Francis Makela Jr., better known as Larry, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from a heart attack. If it was a sport, Larry loved it, particularly golf, football, basketball, and hockey. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially spending much of his free time coaching and investing in the next generation. Most of all, many will remember how much he loved Alabama - Roll Tide- and the Dolphins (since he was able to wear a helmet).
