Skijoring and Family Sled day canceled, still plenty to do this weekend

USDA accepting applications to improve water quality near the Tongue River – Sheridan Media

The USDA announced in a press release that The Sheridan County Conservation District and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are currently accepting applications for water quality improvement projects under the Tongue River Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The current sign-up deadline for 2021 projects is March 17, 2021.
RCPP is a USDA program that uses public-private partnerships to improve land and water resources.
“RCPP is a great program, bringing NRCS together with local partners to target conservation efforts for water quality improvement projects on the Tongue River,” Astrid Martinez, Wyoming State Conservationist for USDA’s NRCS said in the release.
According to the USDA, the Upper Tongue River Watershed RCPP is one of two projects in Wyoming that were selected for funding under this program in 2015 out of more than 600 pre-proposals submitted nationally. ....
