It’s been a little more than 30 years since the Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department moved in together at the joint Kearney/Buffalo County Law Enforcement Center.

Robert Hansen dies at the age of 75. Alaska serial killer Robert Hansen dies after being transferred to the Alaska Regional Hospital due to several health issues. Hansen who was known as the "Butcher Baker," had raped over 30 women and killed at least 17. Hansen was serving 461 years plus a life sentence at the Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward.
