The managers of the Alamance County s African American Cultural Arts and History Center are celebrating their recent move into a brick-and-mortar headquarters for the first time since the organization s inception. Located in Burlington s 2381 Corporation Parkway, the AACAH Center s new headquarters is the culmination of a dream spanning two generations. I need a bigger word than excited, said Shineece Sellars, the Center s current director. Sellars busied herself on Wednesday preparing for a Thursday open house, ribbon-cutting event on Friday, and culminating in a business after-hours event on Saturday. Last year, Sellars took over running the Center from her mother and Center founder Jane Sellars. At the time she said one of her primary goals going into the new year was finding a location where the Center could operate. The task, according to Shineece Sellars, was easier said than done. ....
