Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) won a contract to build a new auto and passenger ferry for the Fisher Island Community Association, Inc.

In a statement released Wednesday morning, Eastern Shipbuilding Group announced they have been awarded a contract to begin construction on a new Fisher Island Ferry.

With a length of 152 feet and beam of 52 feet, the 1,200 bhp Fisher Island ferry will have a capacity for 30 cars and 150 passengers.
